Bigfoot Found

I’m not making this up! Check out this story from Fox News:

Bigfoot Trackers Say They’ve Got a Body

I’ve always been fascinated by the hunt for bigfoot. And I don’t buy the claim that modern science has everything figured out. We’ll have to wait for the news conference Friday, and the results from the testing to come in, but this could be the most interesting news story of the year. Or, then again, maybe not.

Check out the links at the bottom of that story. They link to the pictures of the body, and there’s a Fox News video as well.

  1. ya, I saw that on the news last night. The guys who discovered it are going to have a press conference in palo alto tomorrow which is on the other side of the bay from where I am! I hope more pictures are released!!

  2. If this is legitamite, then Randy Stonehill will have to rewrite verse two of his song, “Great Big Stupid World.”

Well we’re hot on the trail of Big Foot
And we’re wearing the crystals to feel the power
We’re hoping that the creatures from outer space
Come to set us free in that final hour
Trying to tell the future from the lumps on our heads
Getting melanoma from our tanning beds
    Channeling Houdini with Shirley MacLaine
And trying to figure out what the dolphins are saying

Here’s the chorus, for those of you who are too young to remember this song:

‘Cuz it’s a great big stupid world
And we’re feeling kinda queasy as it turns around
    Great big stupid world
And we’re never really sure if we’re up or down
We’re on a dirt clod out in space
    Where it stops nobody knows
    If Jesus came back today
They’d try to book him on the Oprah Winfrey show
‘Cuz it’s a great big stupid world
    Great big stupid world

The rest of the lyrics can be read here.

  3. I want to add that Randy’s music can be sampled or downloaded at the iTunes Store. For a little historical reference, Larry Norman (the Father of Christian Rock) led Randy Stonehill to Christ, and Randy urged Keith Green to go hear a certain preacher all the hippies were going to back then (no, not Chuch Smith), who led Keith to the Lord.

  4. In light of Kent’s enlightening link, please note that I originally said, “If this is legitimate.” In other news, I finally remembered how to spell legitimate.

  5. Yea, this could certainly be a hoax. The picture link that Fox news gave had a picture of the costume, and said it could end up being a fake but we’ll have to see. (That site was getting bombarded with hits and the server crashed I think.)

So we’ll see what happens, and if Fox News will expose the hoax, or if the Biscardi guy follows through and lets reporters actually see the body (and gives it over to legitimate scientists).

I’m still rooting for them, but my suspicions of a possible hoax are a bit higher!

  6. sad day. he was a personal inspiration. i was rootin’ for bigfootie to stay a step ahead of the feds. o well.

  7. I can still remember reading books about bigfoot, nessie and other unexplained mysteries as a kid. I’m also a sucker for stories about the latest person claiming to have discovered the ark of the covenant. 🙂 Most of them rank right up there with the bigfoot sightings.

  8. Bob, I’ve always been into the idea of bigfoot existing as well. But I can’t believe it was this cast of characters who found it. I can’t wait for the press conference in Palo Alto. Not because I think they will actually provide any credible evidence, but because of the theatrics they will need to pull off to get through the questions. It will be a lot of laughs. And, of course, it could all just be a viral marketing campaign. We’ll see. – Nonrhotic

  9. Don’tcha all think it’s a bit ironic that both bigfoot & the infamous chubacabra have been discovered in the very same week?! Clearly there are other forces at work here. No way this is a coincidence. ; – )

  10. Wow Steve, you’re right. Here’s the link from CNN’s chubacabra video. Click here.

Maybe Fox is just trying to stay with CNN in bizarre monster findings this week!

  11. Yea, I’m like Shawn. I like the mysteries and everything. I did read one book, though, that detailed a discovery of the probable route that Israel took on the exodus from Egypt. It claims a mountain in Saudi Arabia, just west of the Sinai peninsula, is the real Mount Sinai. I actually believe that claim based on several other factors unrelated to the claims of the book. But that’s another story….

  12. I love the comment at the end of the article – scientists will get their chance soon as well.

Um, wouldn’t you want scientists to verify it BEFORE the news conference. I think people would take it more seriously.
