I enjoyed my first Christian concert in a large venue last night. I saw Casting Crowns with Tenth Avenue North and Caleb Chapman at the Excel Energy Center in St. Paul. I really enjoyed the concert as Casting Crowns has amassed quite a list of really good, rock solid, God-centered songs over the last several years. Plus I was with some friends from church.
I thought I’d just post a video of my favorite Casting Crowns song, which unfortunately they didn’t do last night. I don’t post video clips often, and its good to have a change of pace every once in a while. Let me know if you like the song. The song is from the perspective of the demonaic of Gadeira in Mark 5. May this song move you like it has me.
Casting Crowns is a great band. Twice I’ve had the pleasure of seeing them in concert.
First time for me. I really enjoyed it.
I really like Casting Crowns! This particular song makes me think of Michael Card’s type of music in that they have taken the perspective of a biblical character and expressed his possible desperate cry for deliverance; a deliverance only truly possible through Jesus…Real people encountering a real Savior!
Yes, there’s a similarity. It is a song full of hope, that’s also very real about our condition without Christ.
Several friends from our church went to a concert on that same tour in St. Louis on Good Friday. One of the families has seen them several times and appreciates the Christ-centered ministry of the band in between the songs.
yes it was very edifying and worshipful. I also liked how Mark shared stage time around and let others sing and be introduced and everything…
