Today is the 400th Anniversary of the printing of the King James Bible. In honor of that, I tried my hand at my first video book review. Below, you’ll find a video review of A Visual History of the King James Bible by Donald L. Brake. While there are a few audio glitches, the stunning visual beauty of Brake’s book is put on full display. I hope you’ll consider picking up a copy of this book as a way of celebrating this momentous occasion.

The book can be purchased from these retailers: Christianbook.com, Amazon.com or direct from Baker Books. Also, be sure to check out Dr. Brake’s other book: A Visual History of the English Bible (Baker Books, 2008).

Awesome! Were one of your children holding the cue cards? ;-)Yet another trail blazed by my favorite fundie blogger!
It was a bit complex, actually. I don’t have the right software for editing, but I was able to record the audio separate from the video and then add it onto the video. More cumbersome and Windows Movie Maker has some limitations (hence the audio glitches). But it was a fun experience, nonetheless. It was actually several video clips taken individually of the different pages first, then the audio file narrating everything….
Glad you enjoyed it. Hopefully others find it useful, too.
Yesterday in Church, we set up some beautiful displays in a portfolio of Bible History and taught our people about the history of the English Bible. It was a really enjoyable experience. I have a really nice KJV 400th anniversary collectors portfolio with sample manuscripts found here: http://www.kjv400thanniversary.com/xcart/product.php?productid=16270&cat=0&bestseller=Y
Nice, Will. Sounds fun.
